Claudia

Claudia is a digital distribution infrastructure designed for independent producers and rights holders who want to release single films on major global Video-on-Demand platforms.

Built by Under The Milky Way, Claudia provides a streamlined legal, technical, commercial and financial interface with leading non-selective VoD platforms such as Apple TV, Amazon and Google/YouTube. It enables films to be delivered, managed and reported on across multiple territories under professional conditions, without requiring catalogue scale or in-house distribution expertise.

With Claudia, rights holders submit their films through a simplified workflow covering metadata, assets and contractual information. The service then handles the operational complexity of international digital distribution, including encoding coordination, platform deliveries, revenue collection and consolidated reporting; thus ensuring that films remain correctly indexed, territorially available and commercially exploitable over time.

Claudia is designed around Transactional VoD (TVoD), the only digital model that guarantees long-term availability independent of editorial selection or licensing windows. By securing permanent, non-selective access to platforms, Claudia supports the sustained circulation and discoverability of independent films beyond short-term release cycles.

Rights holders retain full control over their films’ exploitation while benefiting from transparent access to sales data, royalty reports and payments. Claudia does not replace traditional distributors or aggregators; it provides a complementary, infrastructure-level solution tailored to producers managing single titles or small catalogues.

In a market where producers are increasingly expected to be autonomous in how they reach audiences, Claudia provides the distribution backbone that turns those efforts into durable, international availability and under clear, reliable and professional conditions.

YOUNG AUDIENCE AWARD / European Film Awards

The EFA YOUNG AUDIENCE AWARD presents three European films to 12-14-year-old audiences across Europe. They watch the nominated films and act as a jury, voting for the winner right after the screenings. In a truly European vote, jury speakers then transmit the national results live via video conference to Erfurt (Germany) where the winner is announced in an award ceremony streamed live on this website. In 2018, UMW will be in charge of managing the digital release of all the YAA nominated films for the last 3 years in the 27 European countries.
